At K9 Rescue, our dream is a world where no dog faces unnecessary euthanasia. We are dedicated to ensuring no healthy dog in our care is ever put to sleep.

Every dog at K9 Rescue is a cherished member of our family. There’s no greater joy than watching a dog we’ve nurtured find their forever home.

Like all devoted pet owners, we understand that when a dog is suffering with no hope of recovery, the most compassionate choice may be to let them go peacefully. Despite our best efforts and expert care, we sometimes face this difficult decision.

The choice to euthanize is never taken lightly at K9 Rescue. It is only considered after every possible option has been explored and following thorough discussions with our dedicated team, including our trusted caregivers, veterinary experts, and behavioural specialists.

It is always our last resort.

We align with the World Health Organization’s view that health encompasses complete physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Though it breaks our hearts, we recognize that in rare cases, euthanasia may be the kindest act for a dog in our care. When this happens, we take comfort in knowing we’ve done everything possible to prioritize their dignity and comfort.
